Malls are inseparable part of a city’s ever-changing landscape, that show a glimpse of local culture. It’s much more than a place to shop now, it’s more of rejuvenation, entertainment and place for spending quality time with friends and families. ISCF is the perfect platform which allows each of the industries to interact with each other and gain knowledge from other specialized areas, this will enable the whole spectrum to develop new strategies and see the industry from a new light
ISCF is indispensable to the understanding of the Indian retail real estate industry. India’s stature as a market of priority for international mall developers and retailers is stronger than ever before, therefore I believe, ISCF’19 becomes a must attend industry event for organisations having a desire to meet and listen to the best thinkers and practitioners operating in the region
Mall developers are increasingly trying to offer a complete shopping plus entertainment package to new age shoppers. Leisure and entertainment are becoming most crucial elements in it, I believe a platform like ISCF helps to make sense of all the different developments in the Indian retail malls and facilitate the generation of focussed strategies
Operating in the most dynamic marketplace on this side of the hemisphere requires a lot of innovation agility and to be able to adapt to the changing market place, as India’s appetite for new experience in malls keeps growing. ISCF presents an engaging platform to connect with shopping mall leaders of national and international stature. One gets to explore the potentials of this Industry along with stimulating discussions resulting in perspectives. I truly believe that a platform like ISCF is imperative for analysing this domain to visualize the challenges and opportunities ahead of us
Shopping malls have come a long way in India and we are now seeing a resurgence with well-conceived and executed malls that promise long-term business sustainability. The industry has definitely matured with developers learning through trial and error, and coming up with more winning formulas for their malls, and at the same, retailers picking Omni-channel selling route. We will see the great Indian revolution spin into its next cycle of evolution. ISCF is an ideal platform to understand the latest industry trends, share thoughts and deliberate on challenges and opportunities in the Indian market.
A mall should be designed specifically to cater to specific retail needs. It should not just count on retail brands as anchors to drive footfalls. Shopping centres need to pay attention to offering holistic experiences including F&B, events, performances etc. along with shopping experience. The malls should be able to use technology in a way that bridges the digital divide, I think an ideal platform like ISCF allows each of the sectors to interact with each other and learn insights from these specialised areas
Shopping malls are constantly innovating to meet and exceed the expectations of the evolved consumer and at DLF shopping Malls, we are constantly evolving and innovating, making us the first choice for international and homegrown brands to be a part of the group. Creating consumer initiatives and strategies that enhance the overall experience of the consumer is instrumental in raising the benchmark for the Indian retail industry. We believe ISCF is a tremendous platform to meet the top brass of the retail and real estate industry and to also get a better feel of the market”
The latest trends in retail are driven by a combination of evolving technological landscape and shifting preferences of consumers as demographics start to skew younger.
Multi-channel is the new normal & brick-and-mortar stores still play a key role in the sales process by captivating consumers and keeping them engaged. The emergence of virtual reality, augmented reality, and improved mobile technology will continue to push retail brands to add layers and new experiences to their traditional retail models.
ISCF is a good platform to understand the latest trends and adaptions made to make the most of these disruptions
Indian retail is progressing rapidly and a platform like ISCF helps to collaborate with various stakeholders within the retail sector and discuss new trends and views on organized retail. The forum focuses on various aspects like architecture, consumer behaviour, technology etc. I am looking forward to meet my friends and colleagues from the industry and taking up initiatives that address key industry concerns and are aimed at enhancing the ecosystem.
The retail ecosystem in India is innovating and evolving with malls being significant drivers of the changing trends. Much of this evolution is a result of their increasing insight on consumer behaviour, space utilisation and tenant mix. Hence, we see malls bringing in experiential shopping to daily visitors. However, stakeholders involved in this space – mall developers and operators, mall management teams, tenants and the investors -- have to collectively set a trend for the industry and help it register unhindered growth in future as well. All this is being facilitated and enhanced at the India Shopping Centre Forum, an intellectual collaboration and platform for Indian and international thought leaders, who have joined hands for exchange of ideas on the sector.
During the times of major shift in retail landscape, when e-commerce players are re-inventing themselves, shopping malls have kept their momentum as preferred retail destinations, given their constant revamping strategies. Brand mix is the pull-factor for consumers these days, it has to be a balanced process. We have witnessed ups and downs, as the similar amount of people are walking into the mall, and thespend per person has increased, which is a positive sign. But the difference is when the people see the same brands and layouts everywhere in malls, and look forward to a differentiating experience. From my participation at ISCF for many years now, I know that ISCF is a great platform to understand the latest trends, share thoughts and deliberate on challenges and opportunities in the Indian Market
